Liffey Falls

Well today I thought I'd share something different.  I am taking a photography - advanced composition course with Candice Stringham and our first assignment was places.  I thought I'd share with you my assignment.  Liffey Falls is in the North of Tasmania about an hours drive from our house.  I took these while bushwalking with my family.  My husband and I had been here a few times before so we knew it was an easy walk that both of our girls could manage.  We had a lovely picnic and spotted lots of interesting things.   Meg was disappointed that there was no grassy area near the waterfall that she could sit and wait for the fairies.  We are all a little obsessed with fairies.  Nell found some massive man fern fronds on the ground and pretended they were wings.  I hope you are having a wonderful weekend.

More Multiliner Madness for a Mummy to be.

My dearest friend Emma is having a baby due next month so I decided I'd sketch a baby image based on two photos I have of my daughters the day they were born.  These photos are on my pin board above my desk.  I always sketch on scrap paper in pencil first.
Just for the record this looks nothing like the pictures above my desk!
I then redrew my sketch with pencil onto x-press it blend it card and went over it with my multiliner.

I then rubbed out the pencil lines and coloured her or him with copics.  Now I just have to wait and see which paper I should use.  I am leaning towards the dark blues.... I guess I will just have to wait and find out.  I do know Emma will make the best Mummy.
Copics used
Copic Multi Liner 0.3
E000, E00, E11, E93
Y11, Y13, Y15

There is still time to get your entry in for the Mad for Markers Multiliner Madness Challenge.  It doesn't have to be something you've drawn you just have to use your multiliner somewhere in your creation.

Happy Birthday Meg

Happy 5th Birthday Meg

Yesterday our eldest daughter turned 5.  I have been so super busy I didn't get to post this before her birthday.  Five years have flown by it has been amazing to watch how much she has grown and how independent she is getting.  She loves discovering and learning new things.  She is also amazingly talented in art.

Meg's favourite tv show at the moment is Doc McStuffins so that was the theme we went with for her party.  Her favourite character is Halle so I adapted a free colouring in page to use for the main image of her card
I used these copics (all available at Mad for Markers)
YR0000, YR20, YR00
BV0000. BV00, BV02, BV04
R20, R24, R27, R29
Y13, Y15

I like how it turned out, Meg did too!

Copic Multiliners

Well I thought the Mad for Markers Challenge last month was a tricky one for me as I rarely colour with greens but I have to admit this month is a trickier one - the October Challenge is to use Copic Multiliners somewhere on your project.  Up until a few weeks ago my copic multiliner had been sitting in a drawer unused.  Last week I shared with you a cupcake I'd doodled this week I thought I'd share with you something a little more adventurous.  I looked at some drawing books I have (because as you all know drawing is not a strength or skill I possess) I actually drew this I followed all the instructions and drew the shapes into the large grid (just like we did in primary and high school) and then I drew in the details and lines to join the shapes together.  I then transfered this drawing to x-press it blending card and outlined it with my multiliner and coloured it with my copics.  I am thinking of doing a water colour background and turning it into a book mark.

My apologies for the quality of the photograph it was late at night and the lighting was terrible.  I can now see a few areas I need to touch up too :0

Copic Multiliner 0.3 and these copics were used (all available at the Mad for Markers Store)
B0000, B000, B00, B02
RV000, RV00, RV02, RV04
It would be great if you could share your creation with us for this multiliner challenge.

Multiliner cupcake

I created a little gift card with an image I drew using my copic multi liner (I haven't used my copic multi liner before).  The colouring is a little rushed.  I have been having a forgetful week and couldn't find the seahorse I had already drawn and coloured so it's okay but not great.  I think this would make a sweet little thank you or birthday gift tag to add to a present.

I used:
Copic multi liner 0.3
YR0000, YR00, YR20
RV000, RV00, RV02
BV04, BV02, BV00, BV0000
Lavender spica

Thanks for stopping by.  Hope your enjoying the sunshine where ever you are.

P.S. I would love to see what you can create with your copic multi liner - why not enter it in the Mad for Markers October Challenge
