Happy Anniversary

On the 23rd my husband and I celebrated our anniversary...no not our wedding anniversary but the anniversary of when we first started dating 19 years ago.  We used to write notes to each other and he would draw little pictures of us at the bottom of his notes.  It was sweet to read back through some of the letters that we used to write to each other.  After reading a handful of letters I found one with a drawing that he gave to me in college. Due to my extremely limited drawing skills I scanned the note in enlarged the image and printed it out then I traced it onto my card and went over it with my copic multiliner (I did tell you I had limited skills when it came to drawing).   I thought about colouring it with copics but then decided against it.   I liked how personal it was and what it means to us.

Happy Anniversary Rick I love U lots x10 with a dot.

Sparkling in the Sunlight

Everytime I see this Greeting Farm image Dressy Ebony I think of Alice Cullen from Twilight....yes I loooovee Twilight.  I've read all the books and seen the movies.  So I thought I would colour her to look like Alice and also add some clear spica to her skin to make her sparkle.  Then I thought if she is sparkling she'd be in the sunlight so I figured I would create a daytime scene for Alice.  My daytime scene is okay but next time I think I would do it a little differently.  I would perhaps create a smaller scene with a border around it.  What do you think?

Here is a close up of her sparkly skin.

The copics I used
Hair E25, E27, E29, E33
Skin E50, E51, E53, E93 and clear spica
Clothes, Shoes and headband, BV0000, BV00, BV02, BV04 and lavender spica.
Shadows BV0000

All copics and spicas are available over at Mad for Markers.  Sammi also stocks a wide variety of stamps including ones from The Greeting Farm.

Don't forget to enter the Winter Blues Challenge over at Mad for Markers Challenge Blog too!  All you have to do is use Bs, BGs or BVs in your creations.

Happy Birthday Rick

This week it was my husband Rick's birthday.  I did think I would have this post up in time for his birthday but no... it's a little late.  My husband plays golf,  we went away for the weekend so my Dad and Rick could play a round at Barnbougle Lost Farm (personally I think golf is a great way to ruin a good walk).  I will share some photos of our weekend in another post.  To fit with the golf theme I hunted on the net to find a digital golf image and found Golf James from Digistamp Boutique which I liked.  Here is my card

Featured on the card is an actual downloaded scorecard from the golf course which I thought was a great personal touch.  Golf James has been coloured with the following copics (all available at M4M):
Skin E50, E51, E53 and E93
Hair E33, E25, E27 and E29.
Clothes and shoes G20, G24, G28, B32, B34, B37, C1, C2, C3.
Golf bag and clubs C1, C2, C3, C5, C7, C9, B02, B00.
Grass YG00, YG03, YG06
Shadows BV00 and BV0000.

Happy Birthday to my best friend, a wonderful husband and an amazing Dad to our two girls.
We love you.

Punky Purple.

Today I'm sharing a card featuring Bs and BVs.  I really like how this card turned out except for her hair...that's something I'll have to work on.  Curly hair totally bewilders me.  Normally I colour pretty girly images so I enjoyed colouring The Greeting Farm's Sunday for a bit of a change, she has that little bit of attitude which I like.  Both stamp and copics are available over at the Mad for Markers store.
Copics used
Shorts - B32, B34, B37
Shirt and Beanie - BV0000, BV00, BV02, BV04
Long sleeve shirt and belt - V17, V15, V12
Skin - E50, E51, E53
Hair - BV02, C9, C7, C5, C3

For the month of July over at the Mad for Markers Challenge you need to colour with Bs, BVs and BGs, so head on over and share your creations with us.

Winter Blues at Mad for Markers

Hi Everyone,
I am so excited to say that I am on the design team for Mad for Markers and this is my very first post....
Winter sure has hit hard, we have had a week with low temperatures in the minuses on most mornings and frosts that are lasting till lunch time.  So the weather seems to be fitting in with this months challenge at Mad for Markers.   The challenge for the month of July is Winter Blues, colouring with B's, BG's and BV's.

For my card this week I used The Greeting Farm's Miss Anya Hats Off stamp coloured with B's.  This stamp and copics are all available at The Mad for Markers Store.

The copics I used were:
Shirt, boots and Hat - B05, B02, B00, B000, B0000.
Skirt - B37, B34, B32.
Skin - E53, E51, E50, E93.
Hair - E35, E31, E29, E25.
Shadows BV0000, BV00.

Down here if the mornings are cold and frosty the afternoons are usually gorgeous and sunny, so I added some orange to my card to add a little bit of sunshine to the winter blues.  Here's hoping there is a little bit of sunshine to warm you on a cold winters day.  I look forward to seeing your Winter Blues copic creations.
