My Little Girl starts Kindergarten.

Well this week my little girl started Kindergarten and I made her this card.  Because I really miss having her at home.  Her little sister misses her too  ALOT!  I am pleased to say she had a lovely time at Kindergarten making some new friends. The school girl image from Tiddly Inks was a great pick as the highlight of Kinder for her was going to the school library.  I found this a little strange as we have been going to the town library once every two weeks (since she was 6 months old maybe younger) so borrowing books is not a new thing.  I knew she liked books and reading but she likes books waaayyy more than I thought :).  I love books too. We gave her this card when we picked her up from her first day.

I used the following copics available at Mad for Markers.
Hair Y11, E50, E53, YR21  yes I need a lot more practice colouring wavy hair.
Skin E11, E00, R20
Clothes B37, B34, B32, B02, B00
Socks C1.
Books V15, V12, G24, G20, Y15, Y13, B37, B34. R29, R27.

Striped paper and apple from Class of '87 Kaisercraft paper pad
The black paper is just black card that I wrote letters on with white pencil to look like a blackboard.

Thanks for visiting

Colouring with Red.

It has been a long time since I last blogged.  We enjoyed such a lovely summer break I didn't get time to make any cards.  However I saw the new challenge up at Mad for Markers and thought I'd give it a go.  I seem to have trouble when it comes to red...I can never get the colours to look right or they tend to bleed over the lines.  This time it didn't bleed over the lines but it still looks a little flat.  I need more practise colouring with red.  I also tried a blue black hair colour which I quite like.

For this card I coloured The Greeting Farm's Miss Anya with these copics
Skin E00, E11, R20
Hair, C9, C7, C5, B000.
Clothes and Ribbon R29, R27, R24.
Flowers G24, G20, B000, C1.
