Guest DT at Mad for Markers

I was randomly chosen to be November's Anything Goes guest DT at the Mad for Markers Challenge blog and I am thrilled to bits.  I chose to create a male card.  This image reminds me of my brother when we were teenagers.  Just before I moved out of home we had rooms next to each other and he was learning electric guitar I spent many hours listening to him play, mainly Nirvana.  He still plays guitar but he doesn't have long blonde hair anymore.  So I figure I may just keep this one in my stash till his birthday next year to remind him of old times.

I used:
Digital image Some Odd Girl Rockin' Kody
Copics on xpress it blending card all from Mad for Markers
  • Hair - E53, E50.
  • Skin - E11, E00.
  • Clothes - C9, C7, C5, B37, B34, B32, 0.
  • Shoes and guitar - R29, R27, C1, 0.
  • Buttons also coloured with R29.
Paper from Kaisercraft Timeless Collection, Kaisercraft Seaside Collection and Creative imaginations.

A little thank you

This is the very first magnolia stamp I have ever coloured and she is such a little sweetie She is Tilda with Curls from Magnolia mini world.  I thought she was perfect for a little country styled thank you card.

I coloured her such a long time ago and silly me didn't write down what copics I used to colour her but I think it was E27, E25, E00, E11, YR20, YR00, C1 and R27.  I get the paper and stamp organised before I colour these days.  Which I find much easier.  I had to take this photo with my phone as my camera is no longer I am currently saving up for an SLR I haven't used one since college and digital wasn't even around then.  I am entering this card in the Creative CAS November Challenge.  Thanks for looking and wish me luck with the camera hunting.

Miss Meg has turned 4

On the 17th of October our eldest daughter turned 4.  She loves being outdoors in the garden.  She loves playing outside as well as searching for ladybugs, grasshoppers and other creepy crawlies.  Meg decided she would like a garden themed party, however I couldn't go past this LOTV stamp for her card as she is always dancing.  She is an intelligent and gorgeous girl who is growing up too fast (Four years have flown by).  Here is her card, the tutu is covered in kindyglitz and really sparkly but it doesn't show up that well on the photograph.

I am entering this in the Bright and Sparkly Lili of the Valley Challenge and Anything goes (option of sparkly and bling) Papertake Weekly Challenge

I used
Little Ballerina stamp from Lili of the Valley
Tulip seam binding from Wild Orchid Crafts
Copics E00, E11, E50, E53, R20, RV10, RV02, RV000, C1 from Mad for Markers.

Here is a little photo of her cake - as it was a garden themed party I made Meg a rainbow cake that had butterflies, bees and ladybugs on the outside.  Not my finest cake but she loved it.

Happy Birthday Meg
